Whut i DiD oN My 3 DaY VakayShun…

Oh mah gyaw!  What lovely weather!

I soo needed this – Like a squishy pair of house shoes after a day of high heels, like a cold set of sheets for a sunburn on my shoulders, like a box of chocolates after a break up…a cool snap after 3 months of dangerous heat…it’s the little things in life.

So, I’m having a chair recovered by Jessie…

and he calls me on Saturday to tell me that he’s almost done but that there’s not enough fabric..

Since we communicate better in person, he asks me to come down to Oak Cliff to discuss it. ….I take my husband for this part of town.

But we make the best of it and wind up having  a LoVeLy Day!

Saturday morning in the Bishop Arts District…

Yummy turquoise display piece…

Italian plaster tray as an open sign!

For dinner, Veggie Crepes and a garlic-y herb top sauce.

Made with our 1980  mini Oster Crepe Maker,

just dip and flip

The filling: saute half an onion and a few garlic cloves  in evoo, add a half cup white wine, then add diced zucchini and yellow squash, then diced mushrooms, then a stemless bunch of spinach.  Cook most of the liquid off. Remove from heat and add about a cup of ricotta, parm/reg. mix, sea salt, and black pepper.

The top sauce: for each 3 crepe serving, heat about 2 Tablespoons of Alouette herb dip thinned with a little milk. Garnish with a bit of feta.
